On April 28, 2025, Ambassador to Nauru Lyu Jin, accompanied by embassy staff, visited the training site of the Nauru National Table Tennis Team. He warmly greeted Chinese coach Liang Hongbo from the International Table Tennis Federation (ITTF), who is on a short-term coaching assignment in Nauru, and engaged in friendly exchanges of table tennis skills with Nauruan athletes. The visit was attended by Permanent Secretary for the Nauru Ministry of Sports, Cook, President of the Nauru Table Tennis Association and Permanent Secretary for the Ministry of Emergency Management, Moss, and Secretary-General of the Association, Notte.
