On November 26, the research vessel Shenhai Yihao (Deep Sea No. 1), conducting scientific research during the second leg of China's 100th Ocean Expedition, docked at Aiwo Harbor in Naoero and hosted an Open Day under the theme "Building Consensus on Understanding and Protecting the Ocean".

At the invitation of the Chinese Embassy in Naoero, President David Adeang, Speaker Marcus Stephen and other Naoero officials boarded the vessel to attend the event. They visited the vessel's bridge, the Jiaolong manned submersible and the submersible operations monitoring centre, among other areas.
