According to information released by the Nauru government on December 1, Bendigo Bank is about to fully terminate its services in Nauru, including the closure of all personal accounts. Previously, the bank had planned to retain personal accounts in Nauru.

Starting from December 1, individual customers in Nauru will need to contact Bendigo Bank in Australia for account inquiries and to complete account closures. In the future, banking services within Nauru will be provided solely by the Commonwealth Bank. The Nauru government urges local residents who still hold Bendigo Bank accounts but have not yet opened a Commonwealth Bank account to do so as soon as possible and transfer their funds.
