On June 18, Chinese Embassy in Nauru and the Confucius Institute at the University of South Pacific jointly hosted the first "Chinese Language Day" event in Nauru. Dozens of participants attended, including Nauru's Minister for Education Asterio Appi, Deputy Minister Isabella Dageago, Director of the Government Press Office Olson, and teachers and students from Nauru High School.
