On January 4, 2026, Member of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee and Vice Premier of the State Council Ding Xuexiang met with Pakistani Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Mohammad Ishaq Dar in Beijing.

Ding Xuexiang stated that the ironclad friendship between China and Pakistan has grown even stronger over time. Last year, President Xi Jinping held separate meetings with President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, reaching new important common understandings on further development of bilateral relations. China is ready to work with Pakistan, following the strategic guidance of the leaders of the two countries, to strengthen political mutual trust and mutual support, further synergize development plans, improve the quality and effectiveness of practical cooperation, enhance communication and coordination on major international and regional issues, accelerate the building of an even closer China-Pakistan community with a shared future in the new era, and continuously improve the well-being of the two peoples.

Mohammad Ishaq Dar said that friendship with China is the cornerstone of Pakistan's foreign policy. Pakistan adheres to the one-China principle and is willing to work with China to take the opportunity of commemorating the 75th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries to promote the continuous development of the all-weather strategic cooperative partnership between Pakistan and China.
