On June 7, 2026 local time, Vice President Han Zheng attended and addressed the Belarus special event “Big Market for All: Export to China” in Minsk.
Han Zheng said that since the establishment of diplomatic relations more than 30 years ago, China and Belarus have advanced their relationship through trials and hardships, while their traditional friendship has grown ever stronger with the passage of time. In August last year, President Xi Jinping and President Aleksandr Lukashenko held a successful meeting, during which they jointly charted a new blueprint for the development of bilateral relations and injected new impetus into cooperation across various fields between the two sides.
Han Zheng noted that the global political and economic landscape is undergoing profound and complex changes, and countries are facing significantly more challenges in their development and in global free trade. President Xi Jinping has pointed out that global solidarity and cooperation are the only right choice. Belarus is among the first countries to respond to and actively participate in the Belt and Road Initiative, and China sees Belarus as a major economic and trade partner in the Eurasian region. China stands ready to work with Belarus to further strengthen policy alignment and industrial cooperation, keep trade channels smooth, expand trade volume, foster new forms of the digital economy, promote efficient and convenient China-Europe Railway Express services, create favorable conditions for sustained growth of bilateral trade, and jointly advance an open world economy.
Han Zheng noted that this year marks the beginning of the 15th Five-Year Plan period in China. China will stay committed to the fundamental state policy of opening-up, sharing opportunities and pursuing common development with the world. Last year, China launched the “Big Market for All: Export to China” series of events, aiming to make the pie of cooperation bigger with trading partners, jointly tackle development challenges, uphold the multilateral trading system and free trade, and inject positive energy into the world economy. The Belarus special event being held this time is the first overseas event of the 2026 “Export to China” series. More than 40 Chinese companies and over 200 Belarusian companies will take part in business matchmaking, providing channels for Belarusian products to enter the Chinese market. China welcomes Belarus to seize the opportunities, continue expanding the scope of trade cooperation with China, achieve mutual benefit and win-win results, and jointly open a new chapter in China-Belarus economic and trade cooperation.
The Belarus Special Event “Big Market for All: Export to China” was co-hosted by the Ministry of Commerce of China and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Belarus. More than 500 representatives from the political and business communities of both countries attended. Companies from the two sides held business negotiations on site and signed a number of cooperation agreements.
Han Zheng also visited the agricultural exhibition in Belarus.
